Where to stay?
There's so many great options in and around Whangamata. We have put a couple of recommendations here for you, including areas near key events for the weekend.
Whangamata isn't a big place so if you are further away from our recommended spots you're still not far away.
If you haven’t been to Whangamata, it is a decent sized town, and it has everything you will need, including a large New World, liquor stores, cafes, shops and restaurants. If anyone is looking to get their hair, nails or other pamper treatments before the wedding day, there are plenty of hair and beauty salon’s in town.

Motels/B&Bs and Apartments
There are a number of motels, B&Bs and Apartments in Whangmata. If you want to be near town, the Palm Pacific Resort and Motel is a good choice. If you want to be near the surf club and the beach the Marine Reserved Apartments are a good option. Both are walking distance to Jaime's family Bach and the shuttle bus pick up spots on the wedding day.

Air BnB / House Rentals
If you are looking to make a holiday of the wedding weekend, or staying with a few people, you may choose to rent a house. There are heaps of house rentals in Whangamata on Book a Bach or AirBnB.
To ensure you are conveniently located to the shuttle bus pick up spots and Jaime's Bach for the Welcome Drinks. We would recommend you look for a place that is anywhere near Winifred street, Barbara Ave, Beverley Terrace, Diana Ave, Port Road or Ocean Road.

Hillbrook Estate House Guests
We are able to have a very small number of guests stay at Hillbrook with us. You know who you are, you can find the info you need about staying at Hillbrook here.
Getting to the wedding.
Hillbrook Estate is a 15 minute drive out of Whangamata, situated on a forestry road. We have organised a shuttle service on the day of the wedding to get everyone to and from the Estate.
The shuttle bus will pick up guests in three locations in Whangamata. Guests should be prepared for a 2.30-3pm pick up to take everyone out to Hillbrook. More information on this will be circulated closer to the event.
Whangamata Motor Camp (on Barbara Ave)
Palm Pacific Motor Lodge (In Town)
Surf Club (outside Blackies Cafe)
We recommend staying near these three locations so you are in walking distance to the key areas over the weekend.
Be warned that there are very limited taxis in Whangamata, so we strongly recommend you make it on the shuttle!
Can I drive and park at Hillbrook?
Yes, there is a small amount of parking onsite for guests at Hillbrook. Let us know if you need to drive, but make sure you have a sober driver to get home! Open directions in Google Maps.
